Dear pro-life friends,
God bless all those who attended Life Chain this year!😇😇 There were close to 200 witnesses to the sanctity of human life at the corner of Fanshawe Park Road East @ Richmond.
God willing, there will be even more participants. This prayer vigil is peaceful and prayerful.
Prayer time will be from 2:30 to 3:30 pm as in the past. Signs will be provided.
BRIEF HISTORY OF LIFE CHAIN:
The Life Chain was launched in 1987 by PLEASE LET ME LIVE, a non-profit, pro-life corporation based in Yuba City, California. Half of the churches in Yuba and Sutter Counties occupied assigned sections of a three-mile route through sister cities: Yuba City, Marysville, with 1,500 Christians holding “Abortion Kills Children” signs on both side of the street. The event was a time of self-evaluation and prayerful rejoicing for the participants and a powerful, revealing witness to many thousands of motorists. The LIFE CHAIN elevated the LIFE ministry to high respectability in Yuba-Sutter by helping unite churches, the local press, law enforcement, public officials and the average citizen against the unconscionable killing of pre-born children. The LIFE CHAIN and comprehensive distribution of pro-life literature helped reduce Yuba-Sutter abortions by 60 percent.
Since then LIFE CHAIN has spread rapidly across North America and worldwide. London continues to participate in LIFE CHAIN to witness to the sanctity of human life in our world.
There were some new people present this year and some families as well. We hope that next year there will be more people at the corners downtown as well. We need to witness to the sanctity of human life in a world which doesn’t seem to understand how precious each human life is in the sight of God. We need to take a stand against abortion and euthanasia so that vulnerable people will be protected!
Canada doesn’t have a law against abortion. A woman can legally abort her child up to and including delivery time of nine months. Let us unite ourselves in prayer to end this destruction of human life. God bless you all!
