Over 600 babies were saved worldwide during the 2016 fall campaign. There were 634 prayer volunteers who came out last year, alleluia!!
40 DAYS FOR LIFE BEGINS ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2017!!
Our 2017 fall campaign will begin on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 and run until Saturday, November 4, 2017. If you wish to start planning your vigil times, please check out our 40 Days for Life website at www.40daysforlife.com/london-on
We are asking the churches in London and area to sign up for a day for their congregations to assume responsibility for praying for that day. At least 2 people per time slot are needed to pray for each hour . September 27-30 are “open sign up” days and we need you to come out and bring a friend to cover those days, please.
If 3 or 4 people per time slot could come out, that would be very much appreciated! !(where 2 or 3 are gathered in My Name, said Jesus..)
Vigil Times are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be volunteers setting up and dismantling the signs so that each church need only provide prayer volunteers for the day they choose. If you wish to come with your church and also come another day with a friend, the little ones will thank you profusely!! Let’s have a multitude of witnesses this year.
IF YOU CANNOT REMEMBER YOUR PASSWORD, DO NOT WORRY. JUST CALL BONNIE AT 519-659-3334 TO BOOK A VIGIL TIME. YOUR INFORMATION IS IN OUR DATABASE AND ALL SHE NEEDS TO DO IS ADD YOUR NAME TO THE TIME SLOT. Click on the link below to see which churches are covering the different days.
Matt Britton of the International 40 Days for Life team will visit us on October 3rd at 11 a.m. to pray with us. Let’s give him a warm welcome by having as many people as possible praying at that time.
Check out the latest YouTube video of our 40 Days for Life 2016 campaign. Please God people will view it and pray with us next year:
Thank you so very much to all of you who either prayed at Victoria Hospital or at home. Prayer is a very powerful force, isn’t it? According to the national headquarters, there were over 12,000 babies saved worldwide since 40 Days for Life prayer vigils started around 10 years ago. Those are only the ones we heard about.
This year our numbers increased by having the local churches sign up for a day. New people who have never prayed at a 40 Days for Life prayer vigil discovered that they enjoyed being at Victoria Hospital to pray. A Muslim also joined us Christians in praying to end abortion. We are blessed to have the opportunity in a democratic country like Canada to have the freedom to pray in a public place.
Next year, we hope that more churches will join us in praying peacefully, silently and prayerfully. One picture is worth a thousand words. During 40 Days for Life, we have signs that have a picture of a pregnant woman carrying her child in the womb with the phrase: “Love them both”. Love is the key to breaking through barriers..
May God bless each of you and your families!! As God told the prophet Isaiah, “I will never forget you. I have held you in the palm of My Hand.” God loves us all and wants us to come to the knowledge of how precious each person is in His eyes. Let us always remember that change is possible. Slavery ended through the intercession of those willing to fight against that evil. Women weren’t considered “persons” in the justice system of Canada until 1929. Preborn children aren’t deemed to be “persons” yet what can we call them?
Ultrasounds reveal the hidden world of the womb; babies are not “part of a woman’s body”. Babies in the womb are distinct, unique individuals with potential.
This photo slideshow introduces just a few of the many prayer volunteers who came out to witness to LIFE this fall. God bless you all for your dedication and commitment to upholding the sanctity of human life in our world. One picture is worth a thousand words, yes?
Highlights from our 2014 campaign!
God bless everyone who joined us in prayer rain or shine at Victoria Hospital. 24 countries will participate in the fall campaign; cities across Ontario and the rest of Canada included.
Steve Karlen, one of the American national team leaders of 40 Days for Life visited our site at Victoria Hospital in October 2014. There were around 25 people who came out to greet Steve . He thanked us all for witnessing to the sanctity of human life in spite of rain or cold. We are in solidarity with prayer vigilers around the globe! Please see some photos below of that blessed time.
The 40 Days for Life website can be accessed at http://40daysforlife.com/london-on
Please set London,ON as your location so that you are able to sign up for vigil times. Setting the location is CRUCIAL.
The website is brand new this year and the former local website from last year was deleted. You need to re-register and then sign up for vigil slots. If you see that it is FULL, that means only 2 people are there. (slot capacity on vigil calendar) Our London Area Right to Life Association‘s Facebook page is connected to the 40 Days for Life local campaign website and thus you will see updates and posts.
God bless you all for participating this fall to promote respect for human life from natural conception to natural death.
“Praying at the fence”, By John MacIssac & Elaine Arnsby
I oft at times wondered if I would ever see to even meet one of those survivors or those “unwanted” as they are sometimes referred. As I persevered in prayer I further began to struggle with the on going terminated pregnancies. Then I would always conclude with the big question. “Are we really making an impact…”praying at the fence?” Suddenly one day, I heard a voice behind me saying ” I prayed with you last year.” When I turned around I found a young lady moving her stroller back and forth in the warm October sun. She said it as her last resort to come and pray with us “at the fence”, and asked God with all her heart that if her daughter would decide not to have an abortion she would care for the child herself. And now beaming with pride she exclaimed her dream came true. As she said this I gazed into the stroller and said “and this is your daughters baby?” No. not really.” she quickly replied, “It’s mine now!” As she went on her way she turned to thank us for out “prayers at the fence”, thank God!
We all do our part and the Lord provides – Said Elaine Arnsby
“May the Lord watch over your coming and going both now and forever. Ps. 121 Isn’t it amazing? there’s never a door shuts that another doesn’t open! Please, put aside fear about standing out in public. Where there is love there is no fear. Join the 40 Days for Life this fall. You will never regret it. Who knows you may be standing there when someone comes to tell you their story. Praise be to God!!
