God bless all of our volunteers and all those who visited our booth! We are so grateful for the opportunity to provide educational services to our community. This year’s booth will be in the Marketplace section of the fair known as the “Look Around Tent”.
Western Fair dates are September 7-16. Monday to Friday: 3 pm to 10 pm; Saturday & Sunday: 10 am to 10 pm.
London Area Right to Life has had been an exhibitor for over 40 years and received honours from Western Fair District for their booth. The booth is manned by pro-life volunteers throughout the duration of the fair. There are free pro-life pamphlets, soft and hard fetal model sets so that people can actually see the development of a baby from conception to birth, as well as a TV monitor which illustrates the 4D ultrasound of a baby in the womb. We even have a new literature display rack to make it easy for fairgoers to look at our pamphlets.
In addition, there are licence plate covers and “Precious Feet” pins which can be obtained with a suggested donation of $ 2.00. “Precious Feet” pins are life size replicas of a 12 week old baby in utero. It is so amazing how small they are! We are so very grateful to everyone who volunteered at the booth because each of you made a difference, even if you didn’t know it at the time you were at the Fair. Wasn’t it amazing how many families stopped by to check out the pamphlets and especially the fetal models and the ultrasounds on the TV screen? Visually stunning it is to watch real live babies in the womb!
We had a good turnout last year and many people stopped by our booth. Families especially enjoyed looking at the fetal models and so did the children. Someone even shared that their baby was saved because the “pro-life team” made a lasting impression on them!! There were expectant moms and dads who were fascinated by the ultrasound. Our volunteers said that the response to our display was very positive. Hope to see you next year around the same time. Members of the University of Western Ontario pro-life club, Western Lifeline, joined us in being at the booth last year. God bless them!
Our wonderful volunteers helped to make our booth a success in promoting respect for life and educating the public about life issues such as fetal development, IVF, chastity and other important subjects. Here are some photos:
