Euthanasia is a term derived from the Greek Eu (good) and Thanatos (death). Euthanasia is not a “good death” or “mercy killing”. Our office has the DVD of Dr. Margaret Somerville’s talk at Brescia College hosted by the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition and its director, Alex Schadenberg. Dr. Somerville outlines the confusion that arises from people thinking that euthanasia “helps’ the terminally ill and in turn, she explains the true meaning of “Human Dignity”. A must see DVD!
