Euthanasia & Assisted Suicide Resources

Euthanasia is a term derived from the Greek Eu (good) and Thanatos (death). Euthanasia is not a “good death”  or “mercy killing”. Our office has the DVD of Dr. Margaret Somerville’s talk at Brescia College hosted by the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition and its director, Alex Schadenberg. Dr. Somerville outlines the confusion that arises from people thinking that euthanasia “helps’ the terminally ill and in turn, she  explains the true meaning of  “Human Dignity”. A must see DVD!

Other DVDs or VHS videos include:

Public lecture: Push for Palliative Care, Prevent Euthanasia published by the deVeber Institute for Bioethics and Social Research

To be or not to be–the Human family: A disabled man’s plea which is a document about Mark Pickup who has Multiple Sclerosis

Who gets the last word? New Ideas about Euthanasia published by the Canadian Physicians for Life

Ending the journey ( speakers include: Jean Vanier, Founder of L’Arche, Dr. Margaret Somerville, Mark Pickup who has a website called Human Life Matters and Dr. John Scott, Director of the Ottawa Region palliative care program)

Turning the Tide: Dignity, Compassion and Euthanasia (Have you ever thought what our world would be like if: doctors could influence who gets to live and who gets to die, committees decided who is a person and who is a non-person, radical personal autonomy was used to pressure vulnerable persons?)

Books (to name just a few):

(new release): Exposing vulnerable people to Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide by Alex Schadenberg

    Dear Pro-lifers,

I am interested in your license plate message” Life is sacred”. I carry one of them on my car, but I am interested in using them in larger numbers, perhaps with the Knights of Columbus. Can you quote me a price? for 100, 200, 300 or more. I have still to canvass my group of Knights in Oakville. I think they might serve as a campaign against the current insanity of the assisted suicide issue! Thank you! Keep up the good work. Peter Bonfield

      Dear Peter,

Thank you for your interest in the pro-life licence plate frame covers. The suggested donation is $ 2.00 to $ 5.00 plus postage. We recently shipped six licence plate frames with a postage charge of roughly $ 10. We hope to hear back from you. Presently we have approximately 100 licence plate frame covers in stock but can order more. God bless you!

      In His peace,
